After download: what to expect

    Open the DMG

    Drag Sparkle to your Applications folder

  2. 2

    Launch Sparkle

    Sparkle checks for Claude Code on first launch and guides you through setup if it's missing

  3. 3

    Paste your API key or login to Claude Code

    Drop your Anthropic API key into Sparkle's settings. It's stored in your macOS Keychain; Sparkle never sees it in plaintext

  4. 4

    Create a project

    Point Sparkle at a folder. It sets up the git worktree structure automatically

  5. 5

    Start thinking or building

    Open Thinking mode to brainstorm. Spawn a build agent to ship. Say "Hey Sparkle" to start talking

Troubleshooting

Claude Code isn't found

Install Claude Code from docs.anthropic.com/en/docs/claude-code. Sparkle includes a guided installer that detects and walks you through setup.

Where is my API key stored?

In your macOS Keychain. Sparkle never stores it in plaintext, never sends it to our servers, and never logs it. Your key stays on your machine.
